BPL without Pakistan

Finally, Pakistan Cricket Board has declined to allow its player to play in Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) 2013. PCB has not issued No Objection Certificate (NOC) to the Pakistani cricketers to play in BPL. BPL 2^nd Edition will be ahead without any Pakistani Players. PCB’s spokesman Subhan Ahmed told BCB that no Pakistani player has issued NOC until BCB gave them a confirmation and a schedule for Bangladesh tour of Pakistan.

               51 Pakistani players have signed the contracts to play in BPL 2013, but not a single player is going to represent in BPL this year. However, Pakistani players are more popular in Bangladesh but PCB has pulled out its player from Bangladesh domestic T20 tournament. These players include Shahid Afridi, Umar Gul, Shoaib Malik, Saeed Ajmal, Imran Nazir, Umar Akmal, Ahmed Shehzad and others.

               PCB also said that if any board wants to approach players, it should approach their parent board and seek for their approval. They didn’t tell PCB about the tournaments condition and seek permission at the very last moment. It is embarrassment when boards are bypassed and players are approached directly, the PCB said.

               A spokesman for the PCB said:

“We have no report from Bangladesh about their plan to tour Pakistan before the start of the league and we have not yet taken any decision whether to release the players for the league or not,”

               Pakistan was focusing towards the Bangladesh tour to Pakistan to play a T20 and an ODI this month which would be its first international game since 2009. But the BCB has cancelled the tour saying that Pakistan is not safe for their players. BCB has decided to send its security team to Pakistan to have a report about security, and sought more days from PCB. But till Tuesday, there was no development in this area.

“Now we have decided that BPL would go ahead without Pakistani players. With the competition just two days away, they backed out. This is an unexpected and uncalled-for situation. The second edition of the BPL is a challenge for us. We have also communicated with all 7 franchises and have told them to choose replacements”

               PCB has desperately been making efforts to convince an international cricket team to organize a successful tour in Pakistan. Pakistan has not played any international cricket in their home since the militant attack on the Sri Lankan Cricket Team in March 2009. It has been playing its home tour on a neutral venue and has been doing many efforts to arrange a tour at home.

alleged people in the case, including the Pakistani PM Raja Pervez Ashraf, within 24 hours. Raja Pervez Ashraf, who is popularly known as Raja Rental, is Former Federal Minister for Water and Power.

According to news sources, the PM has denied all allegations of corruption in the Electricity Rental case against him, insisting that his records are clean.

Meanwhile, there was a sudden panic and confusion in the country after the news had broke. Rumors of curfew and martial law were heard all the day. The Karachi Stock Exchange too faced a fall of about 450 points.

        In ninth and tenth standard the most common essay that is asked by the students to write is the merits and demerits of using mobile phones. Contributing to almost the same syllabus in every school, I am sure that the readers have gone through this essay writing phase. Its absolute that everything has a bad and a good part, and gradually growing up we realize that the usage of everything makes it so.

        According to a recent report the PTA says that in Pakistan more than 100 million people are using mobile phones and thus Pakistan is now among the five countries in Asia with its mobile phone penetration increasing day by day. Pakistan is at number three followed by Sri Lanka and Bhutan, while Iran and Maldives remain at the top positions.  It is also said by PTA that the reason behind this increased usage is lower calling charges as well as difference in living standards of people.

        Coming to the living standards, it’s a complete just statement that mobiles are in reality the companions of today. The truth is that we have lowered our standards and prioritized our chores. Yes, this is affecting us and similarly our families. If one way these phones are being used to spread happiness among the beloved ones then in another way they are also being used to capture photos of sad events. Unfortunately, the want of appreciating the self is making us selfish. Nowadays people find it important to capture the moment that how and when the incident took place and report it first, rather than considering a fraternal relation and helping each other without any self benefit.

        We need to look around, inculcate utmost care in our relations, so we don’t lose our beloved ones. Above all, we should realize that how badly we are distancing and limiting ourselves, that is knowingly or unknowingly affecting our surroundings. Yes, we have made some wrong and temporary companions; mobile phones, and have lost ourselves in our own selves. So, it is required that a necessity is considered a necessity and the real companions and relations are explored and appreciated lively.

From Fish Stall to Millionaire

There are no doubts in this fact that Pakistanis are filled with extended skills and hidden skills. An example of such fact is One Pound Fish Man. One Pound Fish Man, Mohammad Shahid Nazir is a 31 years old Pakistani who was an immigrant to United Kingdom from town of Pattuki, Kasur in Punjab. He has 4 children and a wife living in Pakistan. He had settled in East London for about 9 months to make enough money for his family and began work on a fish stall in Queen’s Market.

               One Day his master asked him to attract the attention of people towards his stall. He did nothing and started singing a catchy song. His words were

"Come on ladies, come on ladies, One pound fish, one pound fish, Have-a, have-a look, One pound fish, Very, very good, very, very cheap, One pound fish, Six for five pound one pound each"

               These words attract women towards him and they additionally bought the fish. Someone made his song video on the stall and uploaded on a video website. This video became a smash and a viral hit on the internet. Music video of One Pound Fish was first released on 10 December 2012 which featured Bollywood style dancers. Youtube video of this song has more than 8 million views now. He has signed a record deal with Warner Music. His spokesman said that Shahid plans to release the video internationally. He said:

"The response has been great in France, Germany, Turkey and a few other places."

               He was warmly welcomed when he reached home. People of Pakistan awarded him with a Heroic welcome. Soon there was a rumor that he was kicked out of UK, because his visa has expired. Dispelling rumors of deported Shahid Nazir said,

 “I’m here because I have to apply for visa to visit France for the song release,” he explained.

              He said that he plans to release a song in France. Calling his hit single a gift from God, Shahid Nazir said the song was a spontaneous creation.  He said that his stall is very important for him and he will return back there. Queen’s Market is my home, he said.

Frequent CNG Strikes Countrywide

CNG or Compressed Natural Gas is one of the most commonly used vehicle fuel in Pakistan. Its availability 24/7 has become a critical issue for the common people. CNG stations are being kept closed frequently, sometimes with a prior notification and sometimes without. Due to it, the Pakistani citizens face transport issues when they intend to go to their workplaces.

During the intervals of CNG load-shedding and strikes, the public transport rates shoot up dramatically, resulting in the people travelling by them as they have no choice at all.The government must take up some positive step to make the avalability of fuel efficient and cheap for the benefit of all citizens.

        Shahzeb Khan,a victim who got murdered just due to save her sister from strange men. Shahzeb Khan was the son of DSP Aurangzeb Khan and is nephew of MNA Nabeel Gabol .After such a long time,we see that a murder case was put up by so many peoples in which youth played an important role through Electronic Media specially facebook played an important role in it.

The uprising star: Junaid Khan

Muhammad Junaid Khan, the one and only player to qualify from Swabi District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, built up his impressive domestic career in Abbottabad where he was in the teams of Abbottabad Rhinos, Pakistan Under-19s, Abbottabad Falcons.Junaid has not only won the hearts of many cricket fans but has also sparkled Abbottabad and elated the hopes of its people. He played his first debut on 24 January 2007 at the age of 17.Being a chief strike bowler of his domestic team of Abbottabad he played against Multan, represented Khan Research Laboratory’s cricket team and played In the final of the Quaid e Azam trophy, he also played for Pakistan A against SriLank A and gradually became the team’s leading wicket taker. His inclusion in the team, thereby making the team lucky, took place when Sohail Tanvir got injured in the 2011 World Cup.

Holding the reflection of Wasim Akram’s bowling style and influenced greatly by our legend Imran Khan, Junaid Khan has made his way in Pakistan cricket team. In his own words, he speaks of himself as a line and length bowler and strongly believes that accurately bowling will grab maximum wickets in a match and is a left arm fast medium bowler whose entrance in Pakistan team has spread jubilant cheers among the Pakistanis.

His performance against India in the recent ODIs made the matches so scintillating and exceptional that the senior players like Wasim Akram, Younus Khan lauded him proudly. Wasim Akram also believes that the play of Khan is just like what he played in the past. Hmhm, it’s a wonderful comment at such a stage for the fast bowler. The veteran, Younus Khan speaks of Junaid as just like Wasim Akram who rattled India’s top order in the first ODI in Chennai which Pakistan won by 6 wickets. According to him, the best thing about Khan is his consistent performance and this is what the Pakistan team requires at this crucial time. It’s a good sign for him and the team as well and as Younus Khan says that if he continues playing like this, our team would be awarded with another Wasim Akram, keen to drive the team to the path of glory.

His arrival in the team has inculcated a gem of positivity, when the team was in a dire need of some backing after the exclusion of Mohammad Amir and Mohammad Asif. Eventually, these are our days to see our team winning by the endeavours of great bowlers. Today each and every Pakistani hopes and prays for Junaid Khan to give marvellous performance in every match and make us proud.

Justice: A Need of Every Pakistani

Pakistan is a Muslim country which came into being after the great struggle and sacrifices of thousands of Muslims. The problem which is being faced by each and every Pakistani is facing since independence is Injustice. This is a huge problem facing by Pakistanis. But why this problem remains unsolved for such a large period of time? Why not a single Pakistani succeeded in bringing justice to all Pakistanis? This Question is revolving around the mind of all Pakistanis.

Justice for all

                    All poor and weak Pakistanis are suffering from the cruelty and superiority of the stronger one. Bureaucrats and landlords have been controlling this poor nation since independence. A farmer has to live under the feet of landlords to survive. Why we are not capable to live our life independently?

                   Recent incident of Delhi gang rape, unite all the people of India. Leaving behind their religious and cast differences, all people stand together for the justice for the victim however most of them were unaware of the victim. Why all Pakistani didn’t stand together for the justice like them?

                  Regularly many people have been murdered. But no murderer has been arrested yet. No target killer has been punished for his sinister activities and no victim has achieved justice for their lives. Many families are suffering from the injustice and begging the concern authorities to provide them the true justice.

                  This problem is the main problem of the current Pakistani nation. Now , we should unite ourselves on a single platform and start struggle for the justice. If we don’t unite to stand for the justice today, it will risk our upcoming nation and our next generation might have to face more serious issues later.

Distance from the Country Soil increase love

It has become a common fact about Pakistanis that when they leave Pakistan to settle down in abroad, their love for Pakistan increase, and they become more patriotic as they used to be. Some distance away from  their country make them to remember their own country. These peoples do their best in telling all the positive sides of their country to foreign peoples.

             But as in  these days, terrorist and vulnerable activities have increased in the whole Pakistan especially in Karachi. Through advanced electronic media these news reach to other countries peoples and it leads foreign people to think negatively about Pakistan.  But the Pakistanis living there don’t lose their love and patriotism and they still try to convince foreigners about the actual circumstances of the country, which are not bad at all. They love Pakistan more than the people living in it.

            These all bad circumstances of the country don’t cause foreign Pakistanis to hate their country, although their love and patriotism increases upto the next upper level.
