Closure of cellphone services....

Share

Mobile phone services resumed, mobile phone services have been suspended on the orders of none other than the interior minister Rehman Malik, are the statements often heard in such a happening country. Here, every minute is uncertain, unpredictable with the scenarios about to come and known by none.
Nowadays, fear prevails on the faces of everyone, be it a bystander, a layman, shopkeeper, fruit seller etc. The use of anything makes it good or bad, yes mobiles are also taken for granted and they have become the source of pleasure and a leisure activity for its users. The late night packages, the lower rate sms packages and many more so called ‘being considered’ merits by the youth are undoubtedly deviating them from their goals. It’s true that uncertainty encircles us every now and then, but the measure taken to curb such type of a situation is totally unrealistic.

Keeping aside all the wrong doings associated with the cell phones, they are after all a necessity. For a common man whose daughters go to university, he would want to know whether she have reached safely or not.If a death has taken place in relatives, how the beloved would be informed.Situation of the city is bad, you need to know whether it’s necessary to go the university next day or not.
These are some of the issues, but they are many that haunt the parents, the beloved ones, the relatives etc. Instead of closing these services why the real causes are not addressed? These are nothing but temporary solutions that are forced to be taken only when a threat is at the doorstep. What sort of care is this, allocated for the people? Why not the security made so strong that nothing is left to worry the minister or even the people of the city?  If only the services are tightened, security of people is strengthened; then, predictions that are made after a disruption in city would be done beforehand. And ultimately the forces being alert, the mass destructions would be reduced without any need of closing the mobile phone services. If and only if Rehman Malik modifies his strategies, all would turn out to be better at times of plight, where we are thrown by him when solutions are left except for the closure of these services.
